The Latest News!

We have planned some MADCRA potlucks!  We are going to have 4 this season, 2 on Fridays, and 2 on Saturdays.  They are planned for : Friday, May 28th @ M'town

                                                                            Saturday, June 26th @ Boone
                                                                            Friday, July 23rd @ M'town
                                                                            Saturday, August 21st @ Boone
For this upcoming Friday, May 28th potluck, meat will be provided by MADCRA, and you can bring side dishes or desserts, and whatever you would like to drink.  We will have it set up close to Mike Morrill and Joel Huggins's pits spots under the south cat walk.  If you have any questions, you may call Anne Daniels at 515-210-8088 or email her at annedanielsia@gmail.com  She and Dani Huggins will be planning this potluck and also the Friday, July 23rd potluck.  More information on the Saturday, June 26th and Saturday, August 21st potlucks will come closer to time.  If you have any questions regarding those, you may email me (Kristie) at StensFarms@yahoo.com or give me at call at 515-231-5617.  We hope several of you will participate in these, as they are a great way for meeting others, chatting and getting to know others in the MADCRA club better! 
 
There are still a few of you that still need to pay MADCRA dues.  They were due May 1st, however, I was not on top of things myself to get you reminded, so I have given you some slack.  But it is June now and they need to be paid.  If you choose not to pay the $40.00 Madcra dues, you will not receive Madcra points, and it will be a $5.00 charge per race to race under Madcra rules.  Which is basically M'town, Boone, and Stuart.  If you do not pay the $5.00 fee, then you will not be able to race.  Everyone should have a copy of the rules, and by laws in which this is a part of.  If not, ask me and I can get them to you, or you can get them off of the Madcra.org website. 
 
I have handed out sheets for your driver profiles to most of you.  Please get those filled out so I can get them to Troy Shute and he can then update the website with current drivers and information.  Our website gets visited alot!  I will give it a couple of more weeks, and then get it updated. 
 
We still do have some tires left for sale if anyone needs any.  They are $108.00/tire.  You can talk to Matt Goodin or Jeff Stensland if you need some.

I-80 Speedway in Nebraska on Sunday June 20, Sunday July 25, Sunday August 22. 
 
Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa Thursday July 22.  This race is highly suggested to go to!  And again at the end of the season, Friday and Saturday October 15-16.
 
Britt, Iowa in Hancock County on Thursday August 19.  www.hcspeedway.com  
 
We are also scheduled to race at English Creek for a special on September 11th.   This is somewhere new we have not raced before, and they are inviting us to.  There may be a couple sunday's coming up where a few of us may be able to go there to practice and play around.   Matt Goodin can give you more information regarding this race.
 
Thank you to those who organized, and participated in the potluck in Marshalltown on May 28th!  They are fun and a good way to get to know others in our club.  We have 3 more potlucks planned for the season - Sat. June 26 @ Boone, Fri. July 23 @ M'town, and Sat. August 21 @ Boone.  Anyone who has any ideas for them and/or would like to help, please just let me know!  I would enjoy any volunteers.
